On the earnings front, Leidos is scheduled to announce its first quarter financial results on May 5. Analysts expect the company to report quarterly earnings at $2.92 per share on revenue of $4.29 billion.

Jason Snipe, founder and chief investment officer of Odyssey Capital Advisors, picked The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE:GS) ahead of quarterly earnings on Monday.

Analysts expect the investment bank to report quarterly earnings of $16.22 per share. That's up from $14.12 per share in the year-ago period. The consensus estimate for Goldman Sachs’ quarterly revenue is $16.87 billion. The firm reported $15.06 billion last year, according to Benzinga Pro.

On the earnings front, PepsiCo is expected to report earnings results for the first quarter, before the opening bell, on Thursday, April 16..

Joseph M. Terranova, senior managing director for Virtus Investment Partners, said Corning Incorporated (NYSE:GLW) benefits from relationship with Meta Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ:META).

Lending support to his choice, B of A Securities analyst Wamsi Mohan, on March 23, maintained Corning with a Buy and raised the price target from $144 to $155.
