Cryptocurrency punters are overwhelmingly betting that privately held AI company Anthropic will exceed a $1 trillion pre-IPO valuation by year-end.

Anthropic Set To Enter Elite Club?

Polygon (CRYPTO: POL)-based Polymarket increased odds to 99% that the San Francisco-headquartered firm will enter the “trillion-dollar club” in 2026, up from 50% a week before.

The probability of Anthropic surpassing $1.1 trillion stands at 95%, while the odds of it topping $1.5 trillion have surged to 78% as of this writing.

Over $830,000 has been wagered on the bet, and the market will resolve to “Yes” if Anthropic’s private market valuation, as measured by the NPM Price reported by Nasdaq Private Market.

As of now, Polymarket estimates Anthropic's private valuation at over $975 billion.

The Race Heats Up

The spike in odds coincided with reports that Anthropic is set to raise over $30 billion in a new funding round that will value the company above $900 billion—more than double its $380 billion valuation in February.

This reported leap places Anthropic ahead of OpenAI, making it the most valuable AI startup in the world. Moreover, it will position the firm above Micron Technology Inc. (NASDAQ:MU), Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (NASDAQ:AMD) and Korean semiconductor giant SK Hynix at their present market valuations.

Tech giants, including Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN), Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL), Nvidia Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) and Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), have invested in Anthropic, with Amazon holding an estimated 18% stake.

SpaceX, the space exploration company led by Elon Musk, filed for its IPO last week. The offering is projected to be the largest in financial history, with an anticipated valuation of $1.75 trillion
