NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) CEO and co-founder Jensen Huang has a lot to smile about these days. Nvidia stock has grown by over 1,200% in the last five years and his wealth has grown significantly along the way.

A new higher dividend payout by Nvidia could have Huang smiling even more.

Nvidia Raises Dividend

Alongside its record quarterly financial earnings, Nvidia announced it will be increasing its quarterly dividend payout.

After previously paying out 1 cent per share each quarter, the dividend amount will rise to 25 cents per share each quarter.

While the new dividend amount still equals less than a 1% dividend yield for Nvidia shareholders, Huang and other top shareholders are getting a nice annual raise in their payments.

A March 2026 filing shows Huang owning 70,1919,975 shares directly and another 773,679,505 shares via trusts and other ownership. This gives Huang total ownership of 843,871,480 shares.

The 1 cent per share quarterly dividend previously paid Huang $8,438,714.80 each quarter and $33,754,859.20 each year.

With the large increase in the dividend payout, Huang's annual payments from the company are going up significantly.

Huang will now receive $210,967,870 each quarter in dividend payments, or $843,871,480 each year. Compare this to the old payout and Huang is set to make $810,116,620.80 more each year in dividend payments.

Huang's Wealth Continues to Grow

Huang ranked outside of the top 25 richest people in the world back in 2023. A sharp rise in Nvidia's share price took Huang up the list and he ranked among the 15 richest people in the middle of 2024.

In late 2024, Huang joined the top 10 richest people in the world, with Nvidia's share price continuing to rise.

At the end of 2025, Huang was worth $154 billion, ranking ninth in the world. Huang's wealth went up $40.1 billion in 2025.

Year-to-date in 2026, Huang has added $23.3 billion to his wealth, taking his total up to $178 billion. The Nvidia CEO is now the eighth richest person in the world, according to data from Bloomberg.

Huang's wealth could continue to rise alongside Nivida's share price. Nvidia stock is up 13.8% year-to-date and up over 50% in the last year. Nvidia shares have surged 1,223% over the last five years.

Alongside a growing stock price for Nvidia shares, Huang's wealth could also increase thanks to the larger dividend payments.
