U.S. stock futures were higher this morning, with the Nasdaq futures surging more than 0.35% on Monday following a strong start to the month and massive acquisition headlines across the consumer and infrastructure sectors.

Shares of Taylor Morrison Home Corp (NYSE:TMHC) skyrocketed in pre-market trading following a definitive buyout announcement from Warren Buffett’s conglomerate.

Berkshire Hathaway agreed to purchase the homebuilder for approximately $8.5 billion in an all-cash transaction. This represents a 24% premium over Taylor Morrison's previous closing price of $58.50. The transaction, which is subject to standard regulatory clearances and shareholder approvals, is expected to close in the latter half of 2026.

Taylor Morrison shares jumped 22.85% to $71.87 in pre-market trading.
