Innovation Centre Drives Momentum
The stock’s upward trajectory follows an announcement on Thursday, when Infleqtion revealed an expansion of its U.K. quantum operations. The company is launching a new Quantum Innovation Centre at Oxford Technology Park. This dedicated facility will triple the size of Infleqtion’s research, production and systems integration capabilities, according to the company.
Transitioning From R&D To Production
The new centre aims to attract quantum talent across physics, engineering, software and manufacturing. “This Centre marks our commitment to scaling up and transitioning from R&D to production right here in the U.K.,” said Colin Sullivan, managing director of Infleqtion UK. Sullivan noted the company will soon manufacture quantum technologies in Oxford and Harwell.
Advancing Sovereign U.K. Capability
Infleqtion has operated in the U.K. since 2014, previously delivering the nation's first operational 100-physical-qubit quantum computer to the National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC). The company stated it is the only entity to achieve the UK government’s 2025 target for a 100-qubit system.
Commercial and Military Deployments
The expansion aligns with the UK’s National Quantum Strategy. Infleqtion's portfolio includes the Tiqker optical atomic clock, which completed Royal Navy sea trials aboard the Ministry of Defence's Excalibur autonomous submarine in October, with further trials scheduled for late June.
