U.S. stocks traded higher midway through trading, with the Nasdaq Composite gaining more than 1% on Monday.
The Dow traded up 0.15% to 50,941.50 while the NASDAQ rose 1.41% to 26,071.31. The S&P 500 also rose, gaining, 0.73% to 7,437.98.

Information technology shares jumped by 2.5% on Monday.
In trading on Monday, communication services stocks fell by 1.1%.
Top Headline
Shares of Motorcar Parts of America (NASDAQ:MPAA) jumped around 37% after the company reported earnings for the fourth quarter.
The company reported quarterly earnings of 49 cents per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of 33 cents per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $212.275 million which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $175.960 million.
Equities Trading UP
- Sunation Energy Inc (NASDAQ:SUNE) shares shot up 147% to $2.80. SUNation Energy and Suniva on Monday signed a definitive reverse merger agreement that would combine solar manufacturing and installation businesses to create a larger U.S.-focused solar platform.
- Shares of Inno Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:INHD) got a boost, surging 313% to $4.34 after the company entered into development services agreement to build AI-powered used mobile phone sales agent.
- Tango Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:TNGX) shares were also up, gaining 33% to $26.98 as the company announced positive initial data from its ongoing Phase 1/2 trial involving vopimetostat and daraxonrasib.
Equities Trading DOWN
- Standard Biotools Inc (NASDAQ:LAB) shares dropped 26% to $0.85. Standard BioTools and Treeline Biosciences announced a merger agreement.
- Shares of Shattuck Labs Inc (NASDAQ:STTK) were down 22% to $3.59 after the company announced Phase 1 data for SL-325 antibody.
- GoHealth Inc (NASDAQ:GOCO) was down, falling 40% to $0.40. GoHealth initiated prepackaged Chapter 11 process backed by 100% of lenders and over 60% of Class A shareholders to emerge before AEP 2026.
Commodities
In commodity news, oil traded up 1.2% to $91.64 while gold traded down 0.4% at $4,345.90.
Silver traded down 1.6% to $68.030 on Monday, while copper rose 1.2% to $6.3565.
Euro zone
European shares were lower today. The eurozone's STOXX 600 fell 0.2%, while Spain's IBEX 35 Index fell 0.3%. London's FTSE 100 fell 0.2%, Germany's DAX slipped 0.5%, while France's CAC 40 slipped 0.1%.
Asia Pacific Markets
Asian markets closed lower on Monday, with Japan's Nikkei 225 falling 3.85%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index declining 1.22%, China's Shanghai Composite dipping 1.70% and India's BSE Sensex falling 0.97%.
