Scienture Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:SCNX) said Tuesday that its opioid overdose treatment Rezenopy (naloxone HCl) Nasal Spray 10 mg has been added to the formulary of a large national health plan, broadening commercial and Medicare supplemental coverage ahead of the product’s planned mid-July 2026 launch.

Rezenopy Coverage Extends To More Than 100 Million Lives

The company said the addition increases potential access to more than 100 million covered lives across the U.S., marking another step in its commercialization strategy for the naloxone product.

Rezenopy is the highest FDA-approved naloxone dose per nasal spray available in the U.S. The single-use nasal spray delivers 10 mg of naloxone hydrochloride and is intended for the emergency treatment of known or suspected opioid overdose.

According to data cited by Scienture from IQVIA for the 12 months ended April 2026, annual U.S. naloxone sales totaled about $144 million, with unit volume reaching 9.8 million units.

Commercial Rollout Gains Momentum For Scienture

Scienture said it is pursuing a multi-channel commercialization strategy targeting institutional, government, and commercial customers.

To support the nationwide launch, the company recently expanded its commercial organization by adding three sales representatives focused on driving adoption across institutional and commercial markets.

The latest coverage expansion follows previously announced Group Purchasing Organization agreements secured in March 2026.

Scienture said those agreements provide commercial access for Rezenopy across more than 5,000 healthcare facilities and create the potential to reach over 60% of the U.S. institutional naloxone market.

Scienture Executives Highlight Market Opportunity

Executive Chairman and co-CEO Shankar Hariharan said the product enters a large and expanding naloxone market with a differentiated profile as the highest FDA-approved naloxone dose per nasal spray available in the country.

In January, the United States Patent and Trademark Office issued a U.S. Patent, an Orange Book-listable patent covering Rezenopy (naloxone HCl) Nasal Spray 10 mg.

The company said the patent is effective January 6, 2026, with an expiry date of February 5, 2041.

SCNX Stock Price Activity: Scienture shares were down 0.28% at $0.35 during premarket trading on Tuesday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
