Luxshare Precision Industry, a major supplier for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), experienced a 5% decrease in its share value during its Hong Kong trading debut on Thursday.

Already listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange since 2010, the AirPods company priced its IPO shares at HK$ 63.28 ($8.07) each, thereby raising HK$ 24.27 billion ($3.09 billion).

However, the stock was trading at HK$60 ($7.65) in early trading.

Luxshare Bets On Diversification

Luxshare has expanded beyond assembling Apple’s AirPods to supplying components for a wide range of consumer electronics, automotive, and communications products. Despite this diversification, Apple still accounts for about 70% of the company’s revenue, according to PitchBook.

The company has expanded through strategic acquisitions, including raising its stake in German automotive cable maker Leoni AG to 74.9% in April 2026, and says it will continue exploring acquisitions and partnerships to strengthen its core business.

In 2025, Luxshare reported revenue of 332.34 billion yuan ($46.3 billion), up from 268.79 billion yuan ($37.5 billion) in 2024. Consumer electronics contributed 79.5% of total revenue, followed by automotive electronics at 11.8% and communications and data centers at 7.4%.

Lukman Leong, an analyst at Doo Financial Futures told Reuters that Luxshare’s Hong Kong IPO is well-timed to capitalize on strong investor enthusiasm for AI and tech supply chains, while highlighting the city’s renewed appeal as a fundraising hub for Chinese firms. Luxshare is one of five Chinese technology and advanced manufacturing companies that launched Hong Kong listings last week.

AirPods Face Fresh Delay

Luxshare’s IPO comes amid reports earlier this month that Apple’s rumored camera-equipped AirPods Pro have been delayed once again. According to tipster Kosutami, the project has been “suspended,” reported AppleInsider

A late-June 2026 Bloomberg report said Apple’s camera-equipped AirPods had reached advanced testing and were nearing completion, though the company was not expected to launch them in 2026.

Although recent Siri and Visual Intelligence upgrades had revived launch expectations, the latest report raises fresh doubts about the readiness of Apple’s AI-powered Visual Intelligence features.
