U.S. stocks were lower, with the Dow Jones index falling around 600 points on Wednesday.
Shares of Ford Motor Co (NYSE:F) rose sharply after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter adjusted EPS results and raised its FY26 adjusted EBIT guidance.
Ford reported second-quarter revenue of $44.89 billion, missing the consensus estimate of $45.81 billion, according to Benzinga Pro. The Detroit-based automaker reported second-quarter adjusted earnings of 42 cents per share, beating estimates of 35 cents per share.
Ford shares jumped 7.4% to $16.06 on Wednesday.

- Lithia Motors Inc (NYSE:LAD) gained 14.2% to $409.06 following better-than-expected second-quarter earnings.
