Ark Invest, led by CEO Cathie Wood, bought $43.5 million in Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN) and Circle (NYSE:CRCL) shares this week while selling positions in four crypto equities as prices fell.

What Ark Actually Bought And Sold?

Ark’s daily trading disclosures showed the firm purchased 122,544 Coinbase shares worth $18.6 million and 169,777 Circle shares worth $12.9 million over the past three sessions, according to Decrypt

Both stocks fell alongside Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) earlier this week, with COIN down 7% and CRCL down 6.5% over the past seven days.

On the sell side, ARK trimmed 120,665 Bitmine (NASDAQ:BMNR) shares worth roughly $2 million, 13,403 Block shares worth $1.1 million, 12,561 Robinhood (NASDAQ:HOOD) shares worth $1.1 million, and 11,314 Bullish (NYSE:BLSH) shares worth approximately $247,000.

Meanwhile, ARK also purchased $14.5 million worth of SpaceX (NASDAQ:SPCX) shares across several ETFs on Wednesday.

The moves suggest Wood is rotating capital within her crypto portfolio rather than reducing overall exposure to the sector.

Why Coinbase And Circle Over The Others?

The rotation reflects a preference for regulated, revenue-generating businesses over more speculative treasury and trading plays.

Circle recently acquired nearly 1,000 blockchain patents from IBM, making it the largest blockchain patent holder in the US, as Benzinga reported

Coinbase won its SEC records lawsuit last week and CEO Brian Armstrong called the Clarity Act a one-yard-line moment on the same day.

Meanwhile, Robinhood reported second-quarter earnings this week that topped Wall Street expectations but revealed crypto revenue fell nearly 40% from a year earlier as trading activity slowed, likely driving ARK’s decision to trim the position.

Why Crypto Equities Are Under Pressure?

Bitcoin stayed pinned near $64,600 Wednesday as renewed U.S.-Iran tensions, a hawkish Federal Reserve, and another Clarity Act delay kept buyers from extending any recovery.

The macro backdrop kept selling pressure on crypto-linked equities across the board, giving ARK the opportunity to rebalance at lower prices.
