Luda Technology Group Limited (AMEX:LUD), a steel products maker, shares are trading higher on Friday as investors react to a sales blanket agreement tied to a major refinery and chemical integration buildout, even while the Materials sector is down 2.3% and the S&P 500 is up 0.2%.

What Is Driving LUD Stock?

Luda Technology agreed to supply pipeline fittings worth about 1.6 billion yuan ($240 million) to Shandong Yulong Petrochemical Company, Limited for the first phase of the Yulong Island Refining and Chemical Integration Project.

The contract expands the company’s involvement in the development after it previously secured a tender to supply stainless steel flanges.

Luda Technology said the award could support its financial performance and strengthen its position as a supplier to the petrochemical and refining industries.

The company also said the agreement reflects customer confidence in its product quality, technical capabilities and ability to execute large, complex industrial projects.

Luda Technology manufactures and trades stainless steel and carbon steel flanges and fittings. It also sells steel pipes, valves and other steel tubing products to customers across China, South America, Australia, Europe, Asia and North America.
