Boeing Co. (NYSE:BA) stock rose nearly 2% in Monday’s premarket session as investors rotated into large-cap industrial stocks. The broader market showed mixed sentiment, with S&P 500 futures gaining 0.46% while Nasdaq futures slipped 0.02%.
Boeing Marks First 737 MAX Delivery to Tajikistan in Fleet Upgrade Push
Separately, Boeing and Tajikistan’s national carrier, Somon Air, said Monday the airline has taken delivery of its first 737 MAX aircraft, marking the first 737 MAX to enter service in the country.
The 737-8 is the first of two aircraft leased from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) and is the first 737 MAX to enter service in Tajikistan.
Somon Air will use the aircraft on short- and medium-haul routes across Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Asia as part of its fleet modernization and network expansion plans.
The delivery follows the airline’s commitment announced last year to purchase up to 14 Boeing 787 Dreamliner and 737 MAX aircraft.
Earnings Snapshot
The latest delivery comes just days after Boeing reported second-quarter 2026 results.
The aerospace company posted an adjusted loss of 76 cents per share, wider than analysts’ estimate of a 30-cent loss. Revenue, however, rose 8% year over year to $24.56 billion, topping the consensus estimate of $24.245 billion.
Boeing’s total backlog increased to a record $715 billion, including more than 6,200 commercial airplanes. The company also reaffirmed expectations for 2026 operating cash flow of about $5 billion to $7 billion and free cash flow of about $1 billion to $3 billion.
Boeing Analyst Outlook
Wall Street remains broadly bullish on the stock. Boeing carries a Buy consensus rating with an average analyst price forecast of $271.43. Recent analyst actions include:
- JP Morgan: Overweight, raised price forecast to $290 (July 29)
- RBC Capital: Outperform, lowered price forecast to $265 (July 29)

Technical Setup Remains Balanced
Boeing traded at $219.95 in premarket trading, above all of its major moving averages. The stock stood 1.4% above its 20-day simple moving average of $217.07 and roughly 0.5% to 0.9% above its 50-day, 100-day and 200-day moving averages, which are clustered near the $218-$219 range.
The relative strength index stood at 49.84, indicating neutral momentum with neither overbought nor oversold conditions.
While the stock continues to benefit from a golden cross formed in June, when the 50-day moving average moved above the 200-day moving average, the 20-day moving average remains below the 50-day average. That suggests near-term momentum has yet to fully strengthen.
Technical traders may watch resistance near $232 and support around $214.
