T1 Energy Inc. (NYSE:TE) stock surged more than 13% on Monday after the company announced a strategic solar module supply agreement with Clearway Energy Group.
T1 Energy, Clearway Sign 641 MW U.S.-Made Solar Module Supply Deal
T1 Energy said Monday it signed a strategic agreement to supply Clearway Energy Group with 641 megawatts of solar modules made using domestic solar cells from its G2_Austin facility.
The deal supports T1’s push to build a traceable U.S. solar supply chain as demand for domestically produced solar components rises amid trade and tariff uncertainty.
The company expects its first 2.1-gigawatt solar cell production phase to begin operating in the first quarter of 2027 and plans to offer modules with more than 60% domestic content that year.
Technical Picture Remains Mixed
Despite Monday’s jump, the stock remains well below its major moving averages, indicating the broader trend is still under pressure. Shares trade about 18% below the 20-day simple moving average and more than 40% below the 50-day average.
Momentum indicators also remain cautious, suggesting the stock needs sustained buying interest to confirm a longer-term recovery. A key support level remains near $4.50.
