Astera Labs Inc (NASDAQ:ALAB) shares are climbing Monday as investors position ahead of the semiconductor connectivity company’s second-quarter earnings report due after Tuesday’s close. Here’s what you should know.

What To Watch In Astera Labs Q2 Report

Wall Street is looking for second-quarter revenue of $360.72 million and adjusted earnings of 69 cents per share when Astera Labs reports Tuesday, a setup that would represent continued growth from an already record-setting first quarter. The estimate aligns with the guidance the company issued alongside its first quarter results, where management projected adjusted earnings per share of approximately 68 to 70 cents on adjusted gross margin of approximately 73%.

The first quarter produced record revenue of $308.4 million, up 14% sequentially and 93% from the prior year, driven by robust demand for the company’s PCIe 6 portfolio. Adjusted earnings reached 61 cents per share on an adjusted operating margin of 36.2% and adjusted gross margin of 76.4%.

CEO Jitendra Mohan pointed to expanding adoption of the company’s Intelligent Connectivity Platform as the key driver, highlighting initial shipments of the new Scorpio X-Series 320-lane AI scale-up fabric switch alongside growing market share across its broader portfolio of PCIe switches and Smart Cable Modules.

ALAB’S Chart: Long-Term Uptrend, Short-Term Headwinds

ALAB is 3.4% below its 20‑day SMA and 10.4% below its 50‑day SMA, yet still 22.1% above the 100‑day SMA and 53.1% above the 200‑day SMA. In simple terms, the bigger trend remains constructive while the shorter‑term rhythm has cooled since the June swing high, leaving the stock in that choppy middle zone where conviction has to be earned.

RSI at 47.82 reinforces the reset narrative. It’s neutral rather than stretched, and the moving‑average structure explains the tug‑of‑war: the 20‑day SMA sits below the 50‑day SMA, which is a bearish short‑term crossover, while the 50‑day SMA remains above the 200‑day SMA after the May golden cross, which keeps the longer‑term backdrop supportive. That mix is the classic recipe for two‑way trade until price can reclaim the shorter averages with real follow‑through.

The market is also drawing clean lines in the sand:

  • Key resistance: $342.50 — the nearby ceiling where rebounds often stall
  • Key support: $303.00 — the floor buyers have already defended and a level that matters quickly if momentum fades
