U.S. stocks were higher, with the Dow Jones index gaining around 500 points on Wednesday.

Shares of Wynn Resorts Ltd (NASDAQ:WYNN) rose sharply after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly financial results.

Wynn Resorts posted adjusted earnings of $1.24 per share, beating market estimates of $1.11 per share. The company’s sales came in at $1.857 billion, versus expectations of $1.841 billion.

Wynn Resorts shares jumped 10.9% to $108.27 on Wednesday.
