CoreWeave Q2 Earnings Estimates

Analysts expect CoreWeave to report second-quarter revenue of $2.56 billion, up from $1.21 billion in last year’s second quarter, according to data from Benzinga Pro.

The company has beaten analyst estimates for revenue in all five quarters since going public. The current estimate would see another record quarter, breaking the $2.08 billion reported in the first quarter.

Analysts expect CoreWeave to report a loss of $1.22 in the second quarter, down from a loss of 27 cents per share in last year’s second quarter.

The company missed analyst estimates for earnings per share in two straight quarters and in four of the five quarters since going public last year.

What Experts Are Saying

Freedom Capital Markets Chief Market Strategist Jay Woods highlights the growing importance of a company like CoreWeave.

"CoreWeave provides cloud infrastructure for artificial intelligence, giving enterprises and AI developers access to high-performance GPU computing at scale," Woods said in a weekly newsletter. "The company has become one of the fastest-growing players in the AI ecosystem by supplying the computing power needed to train and deploy next-generation AI models."

While CoreWeave has beaten analyst estimates for revenue all five quarters since going public, the stock has traded lower after each financial report, Woods said.

The market expert said the average sell-off is 13.9% after a quarterly report for the company. Woods said this shows "just how elevated investor expectations have become."

Looking at the stock chart, Woods said CoreWeave has "broken its downtrend going back to its all-time high and has been trying to regroup."

Woods highlights $101.18 as a key level to watch.

"Above that level, the stock has regained confidence and health, below it, the stock remains guilty until proven innocent."

With the past history of the stock selling off after strong reports and record revenue, Woods offers this suggestion.

"There is no technical advantage going into Tuesday’s report, so the trader is better off sitting this one out and waiting for a price reaction to guide the next move."
