Elon Musk Holds 48.4% of SpaceX

Musk held a 48.4% stake in SpaceX as of June 30, according to a regulatory filing on Thursday, giving him sole voting and dispositive power over 6.42 billion shares.

However, Musk pushed back on X, pointing out that some of the shares included in the calculation are subject to vesting conditions.

"A bunch of it only vests on extremely crazy good outcomes for SpaceX, so actual full vested percentage is lower," Musk said.

The filing includes about 849.5 million Class A shares held through trusts where Musk is a trustee, 3.92 billion Class B shares held by those trusts, 1.30 billion restricted Class B shares held directly by Musk and options covering another 350 million Class B shares.
