Infleqtion Inc. (NYSE:INFQ) stock traded nearly 10% higher Friday as investors moved into higher-risk technology stocks.
The broader market also gained. The Nasdaq rose 0.39%, while the S&P 500 added 0.46%. The Dow gained 0.66%, and the Russell 2000 climbed 0.61%.
Outpaces Technology Stocks
Infleqtion’s rally far exceeded the broader technology sector’s 0.14% gain. Nine sectors traded higher, while the market’s advance-decline ratio stood at 4.5.
Technology also lagged several other sectors. Materials gained 2.09%, while health care rose 1.47%.
Infleqtion’s move follows a weak longer-term stretch. The stock is down 11.55% over the past 12 months. However, shares have recently reclaimed several key moving averages.
Infleqtion Technical Analysis
Infleqtion is trading well above its short- and medium-term moving averages. Shares are about 19.5% above the 20-day simple moving average of $11.52. They are also 16.4% above the 50-day SMA of $11.82 and 8.1% above the 100-day SMA of $12.73.
Momentum has also improved. The MACD is above its signal line, while the histogram is positive. Both signals point to strengthening near-term buying momentum.
However, the 20-day SMA remains below the 50-day SMA. That bearish setup could become a hurdle if the rally loses momentum.
Key resistance sits near $14.50. Meanwhile, support is around $13.
