SU Group Holdings Ltd. (NASDAQ:SUGP) said Monday that its Macao subsidiary secured exclusive distribution rights for an AI-assisted robotic infrastructure inspection system.
The stock is trading lower in Monday’s premarket session.
The agreement gives Shine Union (Macao) Limited the sole right to market, distribute and sell Green Light Multiplex Co. Limited’s Inspec Spider in Macao. SU Group said the deal creates a new revenue opportunity and expands its technology portfolio.
SU Group Expands Macao Operations
The Inspec Spider is a robotic system designed to inspect and maintain high-mast lighting infrastructure. It can climb polygonal masts and poles up to 35 meters high.
The system uses multiple cameras, including 360-degree imaging, to document rust and surface conditions. It also features AI-assisted analysis, automatic tilting and balancing, and wired and wireless controls.
Traditional inspections often require workers to operate at significant heights. They can also require road closures and disrupt operations. In contrast, the Inspec Spider allows inspections from ground level. That could improve worker safety and inspection efficiency.
Technology Targets Infrastructure Markets
The technology could be used at airports, bridges, stadiums, highways and tunnels. It has also undergone field testing at Hong Kong International Airport.
The Inspec Spider received a Silver Edison Award and a Gold Medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva.
SU Group Chairman and CEO Dave Chan said the partnership strengthens the company’s new Macao operation while supporting its broader geographic expansion strategy.
Green Light Multiplex, established in 1991, provides lighting systems, intelligent controls and smart-city technologies. More information is available at Green Light Multiplex.
SU Group provides security-related engineering, guarding, screening and vocational training services in Hong Kong.
SUGP Stock Price Activity: SU Group Holdings shares were down 6.88% at $1.49 during premarket trading on Monday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
