Walmart Heirs Lose Net Worth

A recent quarterly financial report from Walmart saw shares fall to new eight-month lows. Shares lost 9.2% from last Wednesday’s close to Thursday’s close.

The stock is now down 6.2% year-to-date in 2026 with shares trading at $105.69 at the time of writing.

This latest drop comes after Walmart stock hit an all-time high in May.

At the time of writing, here are the following net worths, as reported by Bloomberg:

  • Jim Walton: $134 billion, -$2.67 billion YTD
  • Rob Walton: $131 billion, -$2.63 billion YTD
  • Alice Walton: $130 billion, -$3.09 billion YTD
  • Lukas Walton: $46.5 billion, -$568 million YTD
  • Christy Walton: $21.5 billion, -$465 million YTD

The five Waltons have currently lost $9.4 billion in net worth since the start of the year. This has Jim ranked 13th, Rob 14th and Alice 15th, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Further down the list are Lukas, ranked 45th and Christy, ranked 124th.

The three remaining children of Walmart founder Sam Walton (Rob, Jim, Alice) own around half of the retail company via Walton Enterprises. Lukas, who is the son of deceased Walmart heir John Walton, owns an estimated 3.7% stake in Walmart. Christy, widow of John Walton, owns around 1.9% of Walmart.

Short Stint in Top 10

Earlier this year, two of the Walton heirs found their way into the top 10. At the end of the first quarter, Jim was the eighth richest person in the world, worth $146 billion, while Rob ranked 10th with an estimated net worth of $143 billion.

At that time, Walmart stock was positive on the year.

In February, Jim, Rob and Alice all found themselves ranked in the top 10 thanks to the price of Walmart stock at the time.

Jim Walton is currently $23 billion away from the top 10, which could mean the Waltons finish 2026 out of the top 10.
