Datavault AI Inc. (NASDAQ:DVLT) stock rose more than 4% in Wednesday’s premarket trading as the stock attempted to rebound from a key technical level. Nasdaq futures fell 0.37%, while S&P 500 futures slipped 0.14%.
Nasdaq Gives Datavault AI More Time to Regain Compliance
Separately, Datavault AI said Tuesday that Nasdaq granted it another 180 days to meet the exchange’s $1 minimum bid price requirement. The company now has until February 22, 2027, to regain compliance.
Datavault AI may conduct a reverse stock split if needed. Its shares will continue trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the DVLT ticker during the compliance period.
Datavault AI Technical Analysis
The broader trend remains bearish. Datavault AI trades 8.2% below its 50-day SMA, 31.2% below its 100-day SMA and 57.1% below its 200-day SMA.
In addition, the 20-day SMA remains below the 50-day SMA. The 50-day SMA also sits below the 200-day SMA following a “death cross” in February. These signals suggest sellers could return during rallies.
The relative strength index stands at 45.91. That reading indicates neutral momentum rather than overbought or oversold conditions. Therefore, the stock appears to be consolidating instead of starting a clear reversal.
Datavault AI reached its latest swing high in July and its recent low in August. Traders will now watch for a higher low above the August level.
The stock has fallen 25.31% over the past 12 months. It also remains closer to its 52-week low of 25 cents than its high of $4.10.
Resistance sits near 35 cents, close to the 50-day SMA. Meanwhile, 32 cents serves as near-term support around the 20-day SMA.
Analyst Outlook
The stock trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of 10.4. It also carries a Buy consensus rating and an average price forecast of $2.50.
Litchfield Hills initiated coverage with a Buy rating and a $2 price forecast on August 5. Maxim Group maintained a Buy rating but lowered its forecast to $3 on March 30. The firm had raised its forecast to $4 on January 5.
