On CNBC’s “Mad Money Lightning Round,” Jim Cramer called packaged meat company Smithfield Foods (NYSE:SFD) a “very inexpensive” stock.
“I am willing to bet that at 8 times earnings you’re not going to lose money,” Cramer said. “And you could make some money with a 5.6% yield.”
Smithfield Foods, on Aug. 11, posted record second-quarter adjusted operating profit of $300 million and first-half record of $638 million, up 2% year-over-year.
Cramer also covered:
- Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE:BW). The energy equipment maker is “losing so much money.” On Aug. 10, the company reported second-quarter revenue of $319.7 million, a 130% increase. Net Income was $14.3 million.
- BillionToOne, Inc. (NASDAQ:BLLN). “We decided it’s a pretty darn good company,” Cramer said when asked about the molecular diagnostics company. “I think you have a good one.” On the earnings front, BillionToOne, on Aug. 5, reported mixed third-quarter financial results and affirmed FY2026 sales guidance.
- Eton Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:ETON). It’s a “biotech that’s been a winner,” Cramer said. “I like to take a little bit off of the biotech winner and then let the rest run,” he added. Eton Pharmaceuticals, on Aug. 13, reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results and issued FY26 revenue guidance above estimates.
- QXO, Inc. (NYSE:QXO). Cramer recommended buying this stock, which “goes from $14 to $24. That’s why I think you should own it.” As per the recent news, QXO, on Monday, appointed Ken West as president and chief operating officer.
- IES Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:IESC). Cramer considers it a “very interesting data communications company,” bit it has been brought down. “I don’t think that makes sense,” Cramer said. “I think you have a good one.” IES Holdings, on Aug. 10, agreed to acquire DBM Global from INNOVATE for cash and stock consideration valued at $650 million.
