Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) and U.S. stocks may still have room to rally despite the economy approaching the latter stages of an 18-year real estate cycle, according to widely-followed analyst Jason Pizzino.

Why Bitcoin And Stocks Haven’t Collapsed

Pizzino’s framework is based on the roughly 18-year U.S. real estate and economic cycle, where risk assets historically don’t peak at the same time as property markets.

In his podcast on Aug.27, Pizzino pointed to earlier real estate cycle peaks around 1972, 1989 and 2006, when the stock market continued rising afterward in each case before eventually turning lower.

U.S. real estate peaked around 2006, while stocks didn’t reach their major high until roughly 12 to 18 months later.

Pizzino sees continued strength in equities as one of the primary reasons Bitcoin hasn’t entered another major leg lower.

While Bitcoin’s rebound doesn’t rule out a later downturn, he sees little evidence of a major collapse yet and says BTC could continue recovering if U.S. equities remain structurally strong.

Bitcoin Could Retest $120,000 Or Higher

Pizzino said Bitcoin has already produced an “explosive move” from significant support but has yet to clear important swing highs.

He identified roughly $83,000 as an immediate level that Bitcoin still needs to break, followed by its previous peak near $120,000.

Pizzino floated a potential move toward $120,000 to $140,000, although he stressed that these levels were illustrative rather than firm price targets.

The larger point is that Bitcoin does not need to collapse simply because the real estate cycle appears to be near its peak.

“I think the stock market still has further to go,” Pizzino said.
