Jensen Huang’s Net Worth Soars

Huang famously founded Nvidia inside a Denny’s restaurant and helped create what would become the world’s most valuable company today.

Nvidia stock ended Thursday’s session at $227.98, nearing all-time highs of $236.54.

With the day’s gains, the net worth of Huang grew an estimated $14.9 billion, ranking first among all billionaires on the day for gains by dollar, according to Forbes.

The gain of $14.9 billion took Huang’s wealth to $196.1 billion with an impressive 8.2% gain for the founder and CEO who owns an estimated 3% of the semiconductor giant.

With the day’s gains, Huang has moved into sixth place on the Forbes Billionaires List at $196.1 billion. Huang passed both Mark Zuckerberg ($195.6 billion) and Larry Ellison ($193.6 billion) Thursday.

Zuckerberg lost $2.3 billion in his net worth Thursday, while Ellison added $2.4 billion.

Ranking ahead of Huang is Michael Dell in fifth place. Dell was the second-biggest gainer by dollars added to wealth Thursday with a gain of $3.2 billion to bring his total to $243.4 billion.

Huang now ranks only slightly ahead of Zuckerberg and Ellison and trails Dell by more than $45 billion, leaving greater odds that he could slide down the top 10 richest list before moving up again.

Nvidia Stock Soars

Nvidia shares soared Thursday as analysts and investors digested the company’s second-quarter financial results and guidance.

While shares of Nvidia were initially down Wednesday after the company reported quarterly results, the company’s conference call provided more details on supply and demand and an early look at fiscal 2028 expectations.

The company providing unofficial guidance of fiscal 2028 revenue to be up 70% year-over-year was a highlight for many analysts. The figure could be over 100% if not for supply constraints, which also had analysts raising price targets and looking towards more quarters and years of explosive growth for the semiconductor giant.
