Hyperliquid Strategies (NASDAQ:PURR) surged in August trading, gaining 94% for the month, according to Benzinga Pro data.

Trump’s Support Boosts Hyperliquid

President Donald Trump‘s recent comments have influenced Hyperliquid’s stock performance.

During a White House crypto meeting on August 20, Trump expressed his administration’s commitment to bringing the decentralized exchange to the U.S. market. The announcement sent Hyperliquid shares soaring by 33% as investors reacted to the potential regulatory pathway being paved for the platform.

Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao noted that this move could set a precedent for other decentralized platforms.

Regulatory Pathway Sparks Investor Interest

Hyperliquid stock saw further gains following Trump’s remarks. On August 20, the stock surged again after Trump reiterated support for a compliant regulatory structure for Hyperliquid in the U.S.

This development has been a catalyst for continued investor interest, with the company’s stockpile of HYPE (CRYPTO:HYPE) tokens adding to its appeal.

CEO David Schamis highlighted the strategic importance of U.S. market access and emphasized the CFTC’s willingness to engage in discussions.

According to Politico, Hyperliquid is using BGR Group and Sullivan & Cromwell—two well-connected Washington firms—to help navigate U.S. regulation and establish a legal path for its platform in the U.S. market.

Sullivan & Cromwell is tightly linked to Trump, handling his high-profile lawsuits, including his civil fraud judgment, his criminal conviction for falsifying records, and his U.S. Supreme Court petition regarding the E. Jean Carroll defamation verdicts.
