Exclusive Partnership Targets $4.16 Billion U.S. Gut Health Market
According to a Friday announcement, Immuron executed an exclusive distribution agreement with Sweden-based Calmino group AB. The deal expands on Immuron’s initial launch of PROIBS in Australia during fiscal year 2026, targeting a high-demand segment of the $4.16 billion U.S. digestive health supplement market.
PROIBS is a European-certified medical device designed for abdominal pain, bloating and unsettled bowel movements. Its active ingredient, AVH200, is derived from Aloe barbadensis Mill. and features gel-forming components that support the intestinal mucosal barrier.
Per the company, in a usability study of 1,003 participants conducted by Calmino, 94% of users reported that PROIBS was helpful, with 91% experiencing improvements in daily life and 98% stating they would recommend the product.
Management Commentary Points to Expanding U.S. Commercial Footprint
Flavio Palumbo, Chief Commercial Officer of Immuron, highlighted the expansion: “Following the rapid growth of Travelan sales in the US, we have developed a commercial growth strategy to bring a portfolio of innovative digestive health products to market. PROIBS is a great opportunity to further expand our digestive health portfolio by providing our customers with a proven premium product that delivers improvement in daily life.”
