CoreWeave, Inc. (NASDAQ:CRWV) is expanding its AI infrastructure across industrial engineering and government-backed research while its data-center partners make progress on new capacity.

CoreWeave stock traded more than 4% lower during Thursday’s premarket session as investors pulled back from growth and AI-linked stocks.

Nasdaq futures fell 0.64%, while S&P 500 futures declined 0.42%.

CoreWeave Expands AI Into Engineering

CoreWeave on Thursday said it launched Physical AI Field Engineering, pairing its specialists with customer teams to build and deploy AI tools using existing engineering and testing data.

The company developed the service using capabilities acquired with Monolith AI. The approach has already supported more than 100 projects across automotive, aerospace and robotics.

CoreWeave said customers can operate and retrain the systems themselves after deployment, helping integrate AI directly into existing engineering workflows.

CoreWeave Extends Platform To DARPA Research

CoreWeave also partnered with Parallel Works to provide a managed AI and computing environment for DARPA’s NODES program.

The platform provides biological researchers with dedicated computing capacity and technical support. It allows research teams to begin AI modeling and simulations within days rather than waiting weeks or months to build and manage their own infrastructure.

BNP Paribas Highlights Data Center Execution

In August, BNP Paribas maintained an Outperform rating and a $154 price forecast on CoreWeave, citing encouraging progress across its infrastructure buildout.

Core Scientific Inc. (NASDAQ:CORZ) delivered another 200 megawatts ahead of schedule. Applied Digital Corp. (NASDAQ:APLD) completed about 75 MW at Polaris Forge 1, while Galaxy Digital Inc. (NASDAQ:GLXY) delivered 133 MW at Helios.

Analysts said the progress raises confidence that some capacity could start operating earlier than expected, potentially supporting stronger profitability in the late third quarter and fourth quarter.

BNP Paribas said the developments "continue to skew the risk versus reward toward CoreWeave’s favor near term," while rival Nebius Group N.V. (NASDAQ:NBIS) faces uncertainty around approvals for its Vineland data center.
