Acquisition Adds 55 MW of Contracted Power Capacity, including 15 MW Energized at Closing, Expanding AIB’s Total Contracted Portfolio from 65 MW to 120 MW

NEW YORK, Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AIB Data Centers Inc. (NYSE:AIB) ("AIB" or the "Company"), a developer and operator of digital infrastructure focused on artificial intelligence ("AI") and high-performance computing ("HPC") workloads, today announced the completion of a strategic acquisition of two adjacent parcels totaling approximately 29.4 acres in Texas. The acquisition increases AIB’s total contracted power capacity from 65 megawatts ("MW") to 120 MW.

The site comprises a 5.0-acre parcel with 15 MW of energized service and an existing building shell, together with an adjacent 24.4-acre parcel carrying 40 MW of contracted service under a new facilities extension agreement, with the additional capacity currently under development. With the additional capacity secured, AIB's commercial focus remains on converting its portfolio into long-term AI and HPC customer contracts, and the Company is in active discussions with prospective tenants.

AIB funded the approximately $11.2 million closing payment from cash on hand, with the $6.0 million deferred balance secured by a standby letter of credit issued by JPMorgan Chase Bank, allowing the Company to complete the acquisition without shareholder dilution or third-party debt financing. AIB closed the quarter ended June 30, 2026 with a strengthened financial position, including $52.8 million in cash, $82.7 million in stockholders' equity, and no traditional debt.

Access to energized power remains a principal constraint on the deployment of AI and HPC infrastructure. The 15 MW in service at closing, together with the existing building shell, is expected to shorten the timeline from acquisition to deployment, while the additional 40 MW under development provides a defined path to expand capacity on the same footprint. The site's approximately 55 MW of planned aggregate capacity is below the 75 MW threshold ERCOT and the Public Utility Commission of Texas use to classify "Large Loads" under the state's large-load interconnection framework, including the Batch Zero process, while remaining subject to applicable utility, interconnection and regulatory requirements.
