Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) shares are trading higher Tuesday after announcing a collaboration with Telxius.
The company plans to deploy its 800G coherent pluggable optics across its terrestrial transport networks in Europe, the U.S. and Latin America. In turn, Telxius’ network capacity will expand and meet rising demand for high-capacity connectivity across key international routes.

Nokia’s ICE-X 800G ZR/ZR+ technology enables Telxius to scale its existing infrastructure using IP-over-DWDM while reducing power consumption and space requirements.
The companies say the rollout includes added network automation for visibility, fault/performance monitoring, and coordinated service provisioning.
