On CNBC’s “Halftime Report Final Trades,” Kevin Simpson, founder and CEO of Capital Wealth Planning, picked UnitedHealth Group Incorporated (NYSE:UNH).

UnitedHealth Group said it will release its third-quarter financial results on Tuesday, Oct. 13, before the opening bell. Analysts expect the company to report quarterly earnings at $4.14 per share on revenue of $111.49 billion.

Malcolm Ethridge, managing partner at Capital Area Planning Group, named The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE:GS) as his final trade.

Lending support to his choice, HSBC analyst Saul Martinez, on July 21, upgraded Goldman Sachs from Reduce to Hold and raised the price target from $834 to $995.

Joseph M. Terranova, senior managing director for Virtus Investment Partners, recommended Teradyne, Inc. (NASDAQ:TER).

On the earnings front, Teradyne reported better-than-expected second-quarter results on July 28 and issued stronger-than-expected guidance for the current quarter.

The company reported adjusted earnings of $2.47 per share, topping the analyst consensus estimate of $2.09. Revenue more than doubled from a year earlier to $1.329 billion, ahead of the consensus estimate of $1.223 billion.
