Meta Platforms, Inc’s (NASDAQ:META) AI bet is suddenly translating into a powerful trade across leveraged ETFs, with the launch of its Muse AI assistant helping propel both the stock and products designed to amplify its daily moves.

• Meta Platforms stock is challenging resistance. Why is META stock breaking out?

Meta Platforms shares were up 3.38% at $769.22 at the time of publication on Thursday. The stock is trading near its 52-week high of $770.60, according to Benzinga Pro data. The stock has gained roughly 37% over the past month.

The catalyst is increasingly clear. Meta launched Muse on Sept. 8, and the AI agent has since climbed to the top of Apple Inc’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) U.S. App Store. Reuters reported Meta shares have risen more than 20% since Muse launched.

The 2X ETF Effect

That rally is being magnified in leveraged Meta ETFs.

Leverage Shares 2X Long META Daily ETF (BATS:METG) has gained about 81% over the past month. Direxion Daily META Bull 2X ETF’s (NASDAQ:METU) one-month gain was roughly 82%.

The current price is significantly above both the 50-day and 200-day moving averages, indicating a strong bullish trend. Such a substantial premium suggests that the ETF has gained considerable traction among investors

Technically, the move has almost pushed both ETFs into stretched territory. METG’s RSI was around 68.7, while METU’s was around 68 on Thursday, close to the conventional 70 overbought threshold.

The leverage cuts both ways. METG and METU seek roughly 2X META’s daily return, not twice its return over an extended period. Daily resets and compounding can therefore materially alter longer-term performance.

For now, the trade remains a leveraged expression of the same Muse-driven repricing happening in Meta: investors are increasingly betting that Meta’s AI spending can evolve from a cost center into a new consumer revenue engine. Reuters reported that Jefferies estimates Muse could generate $10.8 billion in annual revenue by 2027 under an aggressive adoption scenario.
