Twist Bioscience Corp. (NASDAQ:TWST) shares are trading lower Friday, pulling back after touching a fresh 52-week high near $192 earlier in the session. Here’s what you should know.

Twist Pulls Back After Touching a Fresh 52-Week High

Shares touched roughly $192 intraday, a new 52-week high, before easing back to around $183 later in the session. That move is the latest step in a powerful run that’s carried the stock from about $80 to nearly $190 over the past nine weeks, a gain of more than 100%, built across five distinct rally legs rather than one continuous spike.

Each leg has cleared the high of the one before it, with pullbacks along the way typically running 10% to 15%, real retracements rather than shallow noise, before the stock found fresh buyers and pushed to another high. Unlike a single parabolic move, that repeating pattern of gains followed by partial pullbacks suggests a stock that’s been banking profits and reaccumulating buyers in stages rather than riding one speculative wave.

Today’s pullback fits that same rhythm, arriving after the stock’s fifth rally leg pushed into the $188-to-$190 area this week. If the pattern that’s defined the move continues, a pullback like today’s would be typical rather than a sign the run is over. That said, nine straight weeks of new highs without a genuine consolidation period is already an unusually long stretch for that rhythm to hold, and there’s no guarantee it continues simply because it has so far.
