XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) ETF net assets grew 80% throughout Q3 to an all-time high of $1.77 billion, and Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan says the appeal behind that growth comes down to two simple factors.

Why Hougan Says XRP Wins Over Advisers

Hougan on Monday told Token Relations that XRP appeals to financial advisers for straightforward reasons.

First, advisers trust XRP isn’t going away, since many look at crypto broadly and question whether it will persist, while XRP carries an enormous track record that eases that concern.

Second, XRP fits into real-world applications advisers already understand, including stablecoins and cross-currency liquidity.

“They understand and appreciate news,” Hougan said, referring to how tangible use cases translate into adviser confidence.

Bitwise also filed an updated prospectus for its XRP ETF on Sept. 28, keeping the fund’s offering information current as demand builds.

The fund trades on NYSE Arca under the ticker (NASDAQ:XRP), holds its XRP in custody with Coinbase, and charges a 0.34% annual sponsor fee while running as a passively managed product.

How XRP Stacks Up Against Solana

Despite XRP’s growth, Solana (CRYPTO: SOL) is pulling in stronger recent ETF demand. Over the 11 weeks ending Sept. 25, Solana funds attracted $469.09 million, about 53% more than XRP’s $306.41 million over the same stretch.

The gap widened sharply in September, when Solana brought in $265.51 million against XRP’s $123.09 million, capturing roughly 68% of combined inflows between the two.

XRP still holds one clear edge: its larger cumulative net inflow total, roughly $180 million more than Solana since launch.

Moreover, XRP also won more individual weekly comparisons, seven of the 11 overlapping weeks, with a higher median weekly inflow of $14.86 million versus Solana’s $10.26 million.

Solana’s lead comes largely from concentrated bursts, with just two weeks accounting for 73% of its total inflows over that stretch.
