AIB Data Centers Inc. (AMEX:AIB) shares are trading lower by almost 12% on Wednesday after the company penned a binding agreement with Nebius Group NV (NASDAQ:NBIS) for 50 MW of critical IT capacity at AIB’s data center facility in the southeastern U.S.

Nebius AI Data Center Capacity Contract
AIB expects customer prepayments under the initial 12-year term, along with project-level debt and preferred equity, to cover a substantial portion of the project’s upfront development costs.
The funding structure is expected to reduce AIB’s need for corporate-level common equity and limit potential shareholder dilution.
The capacity is backed by AIB’s previously announced 15-year agreement for 65 MW of utility power at the site, which requires no significant additional electrical infrastructure upgrades. AIB plans to deliver the capacity across two data halls.
The agreement follows AIB’s recent Texas acquisition, which increased its total contracted power capacity to approximately 120 MW.
What AIB Data Centers Does and Why AI Contracts Matter
AIB Data Centers, formerly BlockchAIn Digital Infrastructure, operates in digital infrastructure, providing data center operations and high-performance computing services. It offers power infrastructure, hosting services and equipment leasing to customers tied to blockchain computing, artificial intelligence and high-performance data processing.
The company’s model includes leasing space, power capacity, and equipment within data center facilities, along with modular digital asset mining containers and related hardware and support services. That makes contract announcements around AI data center capacity especially relevant, because they speak directly to utilization, customer demand, and the company’s ability to monetize power and space over time.
