Cycurion, Inc. (NASDAQ:CYCU) shares are trading higher by about 40% on Friday as the company regains compliance with Nasdaq’s bid price requirement.
The micro-cap stock witnessed unusually heavy trading. Session volume reached about 45.8 million shares, compared with a 100-day average of roughly 2.2 million.
Cycurion, a cybersecurity solutions provider, had a market capitalization of about $69.5 million based on the previous close. The company’s small market value and sharp increase in volume can contribute to significant share-price volatility.
Cycurion Regains Compliance with Nasdaq
Cycurion confirmed it has regained compliance with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(a)(1), the minimum bid price requirement of $1.00 per share, as required by the Nasdaq Hearings Panel’s decision letter dated September 9.
The company effected a 1-for-8 reverse stock split on August 28, and since then, its bid price has closed above $1.00 for 10 consecutive trading days.
The common stock continues to trade on the Nasdaq Capital Market, subject to a Discretionary Panel Monitor through October 1, 2027.
Cycurion Recent Operational Milestones
Cycurion highlighted its largest-ever contract win, acquisition of Digital Ally’s Video Solutions business, and its long-term strategy during a recent interview featuring Chairman and CEO L. Kevin Kelly on September 30.
Kelly highlighted Cycurion’s previously secured $54.6 million contract spanning 10 years, representing the largest contract award in its history.
Expanded its capabilities in the public safety technology market with the acquisition of Digital Ally’s Video Solutions business. Upon the transaction closing, Cycurion’s pro forma gross revenue run rate stands at nearly $30 million.
Management emphasized the company’s focus on reducing debt, improving margins, securing longer-term contracts, and pursuing profitable growth.
Cycurion Resolves John Doe Defamation Action
Separately on Tuesday, the company resolved its previously disclosed John Doe defamation action after the defendant signed a retraction of false fraud accusations against the company.
Cycurion remains resolute in addressing additional pending legal matters that it previously disclosed separately from the John Doe defamation action.
CYCU Price Action: Cycurion shares were up 39.03% at $3.73 at the time of publication on Friday. The stock is trading near its 52-week low of $2.08, according to Benzinga Pro data.
