U.S. stocks were mixed, with the Dow Jones index falling over 250 points on Monday.

Shares of RXO Inc (NYSE:RXO) rose sharply after C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHRW) agreed to acquire the company in a cash-and-stock transaction with an implied value of $5.8 billion.

Under the deal, RXO shareholders will receive $17.25 in cash and 0.0856 C.H. Robinson shares for each RXO share, implying total consideration of $30.25 per share.

RXO shares jumped 23.1% to $28.80 on Monday.

  • Nu Holdings Ltd. (NYSE:NU) gained 13.3% to $15.21 after Flávio Bolsonaro, a right-wing Brazilian senator, beat expectations in the first round of Brazil’s presidential election.
  • Tim SA (NYSE:TIMB) jumped 12.7% to $20.11.
  • Companhia Energetica Minas Gerais ADR (NYSE:CIG) rose 12.4% to $2.41.
  • Ambev SA (NYSE:ABEV) gained 10.7% to $3.30.
  • Petroleo Brasileiro ADR (NYSE:PBR) rose 10.1% to $23.83.
  • MercadoLibre Inc (NASDAQ:MELI) gained 8% to $1,831.84 as investors assess the results of Brazil’s first-round presidential election.
  • Cerebras Systems Inc (NASDAQ:CBRS) gained 7.7% to $179.33 after OpenAI CEO Sam Altman posted on social media saying, “Cerebras is a close partner.”
  • Western Digital Corp (NASDAQ:WDC) climbed 7.1% to $444.55 after the stock fell 10.22% in the previous session.
  • Samsara Inc (NYSE:IOT) rose 6.6% to $43.83. Jefferies analyst Samad Samana initiated coverage on Samsara with a Buy rating and announced a price target of $50.
  • Seagate Technology Holdings PLC (NASDAQ:STX) climbed 5.6% to $896.40 after closing 10.21% lower in the previous session.
  • Shopify Inc. (NYSE:SHOP) shares jumped 5.5% to $159.80.
