What Creative Labs Offers
A first cohort of up to 20 people aged 18 to 30 began music industry and creative workshops this week at the newly unveiled Apple Music Hall at Battersea Power Station.
More sessions and cohorts are planned over the next year.
“The Creative Labs offer young people opportunities to learn from Apple’s experts across various creative industries as they explore potential career pathways,” the royal family said in a post on X.
Participants will also receive technology, resources and skills to realize their potential, Apple said.
“At Apple, we believe education is a powerful force for equity and opportunity,” said Alisha Johnson Wilder, Apple’s senior director of Global Community Impact.
Tim Cook Says ‘Honored to Host’ King Charles
Cook said Apple was “honored to host His Majesty King Charles III in London and celebrate Apple’s work” with the Trust.
The Royal Family said the King and Cook spent time with young people at Battersea Power Station.
Elton John, a longstanding supporter of the Trust and Apple Music, joined them at Apple Music Hall.
A Partnership Dating to 2019
Since 2019, Apple has helped the Trust expand its STEAM programming in schools through the Achieve program.
Apple is also working with the Trust to develop resources that build AI literacy, creativity and agency.
King Charles founded the Trust in 1976 when he was the Prince of Wales.
Price Action: Shares of Apple closed 0.91% higher at $336.67 on Wednesday and fell 0.046% to $336.52 in extended trading.
