Spotify Technology S.A. (NYSE:SPOT) announced Thursday that it has signed a new multiyear licensing agreement with Joe Rogan, extending a podcast partnership that began in 2020.
The agreement will keep The Joe Rogan Experience available on Spotify, with new episodes released weekly. Listeners can also continue watching or streaming the podcast on other platforms.
Joe Rogan’s Podcast Remains a Major Draw
The Joe Rogan Experience has 18 million followers and has remained Spotify’s most-followed podcast since the partnership began six years ago.
The show also ranked as the top podcast across major platforms in 2025, according to Spotify.
Its popularity stems from long-form conversations covering a wide range of subjects, helping the podcast attract a large international audience.
Rogan expressed enthusiasm about extending the agreement, describing his relationship with Spotify as highly successful and praising the company’s support.
Spotify Strengthens Its Podcast Business
Jordan Newman, Spotify’s head of content partnerships, said Rogan has built a lasting franchise that continues to attract listeners worldwide.
Newman also highlighted the growth of Spotify’s podcast business alongside the show and expressed confidence in the partnership’s future.
The renewal allows Spotify to maintain its association with one of the industry’s most popular podcasts while continuing to reach audiences across multiple platforms.
Spotify did not disclose the financial terms or specific duration of the new licensing agreement.

Deal Reportedly Mirrors Previous $250 Million Agreement
According to a Thursday report by The Wall Street Journal, the new multiyear agreement gives Spotify licensing and advertising sales rights for The Joe Rogan Experience.
The deal reportedly carries terms similar to Rogan’s previous agreement, which allowed the podcast to reach audiences across multiple platforms and offered him potential earnings estimated at $250 million. The report cited people familiar with the matter.
The podcast also remains No. 1 in U.S. listenership, underscoring its importance to Spotify’s podcast and advertising businesses.
Separately, Piper Sandler analyst James Callahan initiated coverage of Spotify on Thursday with a Neutral rating and a $540 price forecast.
SPOT Price Action: Spotify Technology shares were up 1.34% at $519.79 at the time of publication on Thursday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
