Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is reportedly planning a second product launch around Oct. 27, following its Oct. 13 "Welcome Home" launch focused on new smart home products.
Apple to Unveil Touchscreen OLED MacBook Pro
The Oct. 27 announcement could include MacBook Pro models with OLED displays and touchscreens. These models are internally named K114 and K116, Bloomberg reported Thursday.
The newly designed laptops could be thinner and lighter than current models and may also include a Dynamic Island interface similar to the iPhones.
Previous rumors suggested Cupertino might name the devices MacBook Ultra; however, the report said these products will remain part of the Pro lineup.
The tech giant has reportedly been working on OLED MacBooks for several years.
OLED iPad Mini, M6 Macs Also Expected
Apple is also planning to launch an OLED iPad mini and M6-powered Macs that day.
The upcoming iPad mini could have a landscape-oriented front camera for better video calls and a redesigned speaker system.
The launch will also include an M6-powered 14-inch MacBook Pro and iMac, the report noted, citing people familiar with the matter.
Apple did not immediately respond to Benzinga’s request for comment.
