Innventure Inc. (NASDAQ:INV)-backed Accelsius said Monday it has upgraded its Springdale facility in Austin, Texas, to multi-megawatt power capacity to test advanced liquid cooling systems for next-generation artificial intelligence data centers.
The company also plans to add 18,000 square feet to the facility in January 2027. Founded by Innventure, Accelsius develops liquid cooling technology for AI data centers and high-performance computing.
Following the announcement, shares of microcap Innventure surged 7.41%.
Preparing For Next-Generation AI Racks
The expanded lab will allow Accelsius to test its NeuCool two-phase, direct-to-chip cooling technology under the high power loads and elevated water temperatures expected in future AI data centers.
GPU roadmaps point to rack power requirements reaching 600 kilowatts in 2027, with future systems potentially exceeding 1 megawatt.
Accelsius can now test individual racks at megawatt-plus loads or multiple high-density racks simultaneously.
CEO John Hewitt said the expansion will help the company validate its technology under operating conditions that customers expect in future AI facilities.

Cooling Efficiency And Hyperscaler Demand
The Austin facility also provides a testing environment for warm-water cooling, as Central Texas summer temperatures frequently exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
Independent benchmarks released in July showed NeuCool reduced NVIDIA B200 chip temperatures by 9 degrees Celsius compared with single-phase cooling under warm-water conditions.
The system also matched single-phase cooling performance at NVIDIA’s 45-degree Celsius facility water benchmark, even with inlet temperatures reaching 54 degrees Celsius.
Accelsius estimates that each 1-degree Celsius increase in facility water temperature can reduce annual energy consumption by approximately 4%.
Meanwhile, its NeuCool HyperStart program allows hyperscale data center operators and computing providers to test the technology before incorporating it into future infrastructure designs.
Several hyperscale operators are already participating in the program, according to the company.
Expanding Cooling Capacity
Accelsius is also developing a 375-kilowatt NeuCool cooling unit, expanding its multi-rack lineup beyond the existing MR250 system.
The company will showcase its technology at the Open Compute Project Global Summit in San Jose, California, from Oct. 12-15.
Innventure Stock Remains Highly Volatile
Based on the previous closing price, INV had a market capitalization of approximately $23.4 million. As a microcap stock, INV is prone to sharp price swings because limited liquidity can amplify trading volatility.
INV Price Action: Innventure shares were up 7.41% at $0.2894 at the time of publication on Monday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
