U.S. stocks were mixed, with the Dow Jones index gaining around 300 points on Wednesday.

Shares of Abercrombie & Fitch Co (NYSE:ANF) rose sharply after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter adjusted EPS results and reaffirmed its FY26 sales guidance with its midpoint above estimates.

Abercrombie & Fitch posted adjusted earnings of $1.47 per share, beating market estimates of $1.27 per share. The company's quarterly sales came in at $1.114 billion versus estimates of $1.124 billion.

Abercrombie & Fitch shares jumped 13.5% to $84.85 on Wednesday.
