Cryptocurrency bettors don’t see high odds of Benjamin Netanyahu being ousted in 2026, even as Israeli Prime Minister reportedly received an “expletive-laden call” from President Donald Trump over Lebanon.
No Threat To Netanyahu’s Power As Yet
Polygon (CRYPTO: POL)-based Polymarket showed only a 2% chance that Netanyahu ceases to be Israel’s Prime Minister before June. The odds of him losing power by Dec. 31 stood at 53%, down from 60% the week before.
A whopping $121 million has been wagered on the outcome. The market will resolve to “Yes” only after an official announcement of Netanyahu’s resignation or removal.
Meanwhile, punters priced in only 9% chance that Netanyahu will withdraw from his bid for reelection to the Israeli Parliament before the end of July. Legislative elections are expected to be held in Israel in October.
Pressure Building On Bibi?
The odds shift as Trump sharply criticized Netanyahu over Israel’s escalation in Lebanon in an “expletive-laden call,” Axios reported, citing U.S. officials.
Trump called Netanyahu “crazy” and accused him of ingratitude, according to the report.
“You’d be in prison if it weren’t for me,” Trump was further quoted as saying. “Everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this.”
Trump later claimed that Netanyahu and Hezbollah had agreed to stop hostilities following his intervention.
Netanyahu, meanwhile, said that Israel’s stance “remains unchanged” and its operations in Southern Lebanon will continue as planned.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi had warned that attacks on Lebanon amount to a violation of the U.S.-Iran truce. Iranian state media separately reported that Tehran could completely shut the Strait of Hormuz in retaliation for Israel’s operations in Lebanon.
