U.S. stocks were higher, with the Dow Jones index gaining more than 200 points on Thursday.
Shares of Quantumscape Corp (NASDAQ:QS) rose sharply after the company announced a joint research agreement with Honda R&D Co. Ltd. aimed at advancing QuantumScape's solid-state battery platform.
The joint research agreement includes a multi-year plan focused on solid-state battery development and associated manufacturing processes.
Quantumscape shares jumped 12.9% to $7.79 on Thursday.

- SanDisk Corp (NASDAQ:SNDK) gained 10.8% to $2,170.62.
- Centrus Energy Corp (NYSE:LEU) gained 10.6% to $188.64 after Oklo signed a Letter of Intent with the company, which agreed to supply enough domestic high-assay low-enriched uranium to power up to five Aurora powerhouses for multiple years.
- Wayfair Inc (NYSE:W) rose 9.7% to $89.77.
- Micron Technology Inc (NASDAQ:MU) jumped 8.4% to $1,131.08. Wedbush analyst Matt Bryson maintained Micron with an Outperform rating and raised the price target from $550 to $1,300, while Stifel analyst Brian Chin maintained the stock with a Buy and raised the price target from $550 to $1,500.
- Intel Corp (NASDAQ:INTC) surged 7.9% to $130.68 after President Trump posted on social media about American technology, including a supportive statement about the company and a reference to an earlier deal to “help Intel in exchange for 10% of their shares.”
- Silicon Motion Technology Corp. (NASDAQ:SIMO) jumped 7.9% to $331.48.
