Eli Lilly Canada announced today that Mounjaro® (tirzepatide), the first and only Health Canada-authorized once-weekly glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist in type 2 diabetes, is now indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in pediatric patients living with type 2 diabetes aged 10 to 17 years.
