On Friday, GSK plc (NYSE:GSK) licensor Hansoh Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. announced that ARTEMIS-008, its pivotal Phase 3 trial evaluating risvutatug rezetecan (Ris-Rez) in patients with advanced or relapsed small-cell lung cancer (SCLC), met its primary endpoint of overall survival (OS).

In the trial, conducted in patients in China, Ris-Rez demonstrated statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvements in OS compared with the standard of care, topotecan.

Consistent benefit was also observed across key secondary endpoints, including progression-free survival. Hansoh plans to use the data for a regulatory submission in China.

These are the first positive Phase 3 overall survival data reported for a B7-H3-targeted antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) in any tumor type.

The safety profile remained consistent with previous Ris-Rez findings, with no new safety signals identified.

GSK holds exclusive global rights to develop Ris-Rez outside mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

Its broader clinical development program includes studies in lung cancer, prostate cancer, and other solid tumors, including the global Phase 3 EMBOLD SCLC-301 trial in relapsed extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC), with pivotal data expected next year.

GSK Ends Collaboration With Alector

On Wednesday, GSK terminated its agreement with Alector Inc. (NASDAQ:ALEC) effective January 2, 2027.

Alector repaid in full and terminated its loan and security agreement with Hercules Capital Inc. The company repaid a total of $10.43 million.

The companies had been developing the investigational progranulin-elevating monoclonal antibodies latozinemab and nivisnebart under a collaboration and license agreement signed in July 2021, and amended in May 2023.

In October 2025, Alector announced that the Phase 3 INFRONT-3 trial evaluating latozinemab in individuals with frontotemporal dementia caused by a progranulin gene mutation failed to meet its co-primary clinical endpoint.

In April 2026, the company discontinued the Phase 2 PROGRESS-AD trial of nivisnebart in patients with early Alzheimer’s disease following an interim futility analysis.

GSK Stock Price Activity: GSK shares were up 0.18% at $52.56 at the time of publication on Friday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
