Vivakor, Inc. (NASDAQ:VIVK) shares are trading higher by more than 200% on Tuesday following the announcement of significant expansions in its crude oil marketing platform.

The company is increasing its marketed volumes to 300,000 barrels per month (3.6 million barrels annually). This will aid in generating around $289 million in annualized commercial activity based on current market prices.

Stock Jumps On Crude Oil Marketing Expansion

Vivakor has executed four recurring physical crude oil purchase and sale transactions that will commence on August 1, 2026, and continue through July 31, 2027.

These agreements are projected to enhance the company’s recurring commercial programs to about $709 million in annualized activity, significantly boosting its operational capacity.

VIVK Versus The Energy Sector

The broader market is also experiencing gains, with the S&P 500 up by 0.5% and the Energy sector gaining 0.3%. However, Vivakor’s performance stands out, significantly outperforming its sector, which is currently ranked mid-tier.

Vivakor is notably outperforming the Energy sector, which is up by only 0.26%. This stark difference highlights the company’s strong market position and the positive reception of its recent announcements. Over the past 30 days, the Energy sector has gained approximately 7.40%, indicating a generally favorable environment for energy companies, though Vivakor’s current move is exceptional.

Historically, the Energy sector has shown a modest increase of 2.69% over the last 90 days, but Vivakor’s recent developments suggest a more aggressive growth trajectory. This could position the company favorably for future performance as it capitalizes on its expanded marketing capabilities.
