Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. (NYSE:HPE) stock is up more than 3% in Wednesday’s premarket session after Super Micro Computer Inc. (NASDAQ:SMCI) reported a strong AI-server order backlog and stronger-than-expected margin guidance, boosting sentiment across the AI infrastructure sector.

As a major supplier of enterprise servers, networking equipment and high-performance computing systems, HPE is expected to benefit from the same long-term demand trends driving the sector.

HPE shares rose alongside peers, including Dell Technologies Inc. (NYSE:DELL), as investors viewed Super Micro’s preliminary results as further evidence of robust demand for AI servers.

Jim Cramer said in a Tuesday evening X post that if Super Micro “did that well,” Dell “should be incredible,” reinforcing the read-through to broader server demand.

Nasdaq futures were down 0.75%, while S&P 500 futures fell 0.30%, making HPE’s gain stand out against a weaker broader market.
