Automotive giant Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) looks to keep momentum going when the company reports second-quarter financial results Tuesday after market close.

Key Items to Watch

Ford previously reported second-quarter deliveries of 522,811 vehicles in the United States, down 10% year-over-year. Electric vehicle unit sales fell 40.7% year-over-year to 9,746 units.

This comes as Ford has exited production of many electric vehicles as it resets its plans to launch a $30,000 electric pickup truck with a larger focus on low-cost vehicles and profitability.

Ford has offered minimal details on this new electric vehicle, beyond the targeted price point and a 2027 launch date.

With Ford offering less electric vehicles for sale, operating profits and margins have improved with fewer losses in the Ford EV segment.

Ford stock hit all-time highs in May and while the stock has fallen from those levels, the automaker is outperforming peers.

Ford stock is up 8.3% year-to-date in 2026. That is outperforming both General Motors (NYSE:GM) at +5.7% and Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) at -29.6%.

The renewed focus on Ford’s profitability and resetting of the EV business is winning over investors and analysts. Ford’s results on Tuesday could see the stock further distance itself from Tesla and General Motors or could see GM take the crown for 2026 year-to-date gains.

Ford Stock Price Action

Ford stock is up 0.7% to $14.45 on Monday versus a 52-week trading range of $10.68 to $17.78.
