Benzinga examined the prospects for many investors’ favorite stocks over the last week — here’s a look at some of our top stories.

U.S. stocks capped one of their strongest weeks in months as softer-than-expected labor market data and resilient corporate earnings fueled a broad rally across Wall Street. The S&P 500 closed at a fresh record high, while the Nasdaq Composite and Dow Jones Industrial Average posted their best weekly gains since April. Investors welcomed signs of a cooling jobs market, viewing them as reducing the likelihood of another near-term Federal Reserve rate hike while supporting hopes for a soft economic landing.

Technology stocks once again led the advance, with semiconductor and AI-related companies rebounding after several weeks of volatility. Strong earnings from cloud software and technology firms reinforced confidence in artificial intelligence spending, helping offset weakness in a handful of hardware and industrial names.

Looking ahead, investors are turning their attention to next week’s inflation data, which is expected to play a key role in shaping expectations for Federal Reserve policy. While easing labor market conditions have improved sentiment, rising energy prices and elevated Treasury yields continue to pose risks to the market outlook. With stocks back at record highs, analysts say upcoming CPI data and additional earnings reports will determine whether Wall Street’s rally can extend into the late summer.

Benzinga provides daily reports on the stocks most popular with investors. Here are a few of this past week’s most bullish and bearish posts that are worth another look.

The Bears

"AppLovin Stock Tumbles On Mixed Q2 Results," by Adam Eckert, reports that AppLovin Corp. (NASDAQ:APP) shares fell sharply after the advertising technology company posted mixed second-quarter results, with revenue of $1.924 billion missing Wall Street estimates of $1.935 billion despite 53% year-over-year growth, while earnings of $3.76 per share topped expectations. The company generated $869 million in operating cash flow and $863.3 million in free cash flow, repurchased $551.3 million of its stock, and ended the quarter with $3.05 billion in cash. Investors focused on the revenue miss and slightly softer-than-expected third-quarter guidance of $2.055 billion to $2.085 billion in revenue and $1.71 billion to $1.74 billion in adjusted EBITDA, sending the stock lower despite continued strong profitability and growth.

"Figma Stock Falls Despite Beat-And-Raise Quarter," by Adam Eckert, reports that Figma Inc. (NYSE:FIG) shares fell despite the design software company posting better-than-expected second-quarter results and raising its full-year outlook. Figma reported revenue of $370.1 million, up 48% year over year, and adjusted earnings of 8 cents per share, while increasing its 2026 revenue guidance to $1.463 billion-$1.467 billion and forecasting third-quarter revenue above consensus. Investors nevertheless pushed the stock lower as higher AI-related spending drove a $117.3 million GAAP operating loss and compressed free cash flow margins, overshadowing strong customer growth.

"The Trade Desk Stock Craters On Q2 Earnings: Here’s Why," by Adam Eckert, reports that The Trade Desk Inc. (NASDAQ:TTD) shares plunged after the digital advertising company missed Wall Street’s second-quarter revenue expectations and issued sharply weaker-than-expected third-quarter guidance. The company reported revenue of $715 million, up 3% year over year but below analyst estimates of $752 million, while adjusted earnings of 34 cents per share also missed expectations. CEO Jeff Green acknowledged the disappointing quarter but said the company remains focused on long-term opportunities in AI, connected TV and retail media despite the near-term slowdown.
