Intel Corp. (NASDAQ:INTC) CEO Lip-Bu Tan on Friday disclosed a roughly $10 million insider purchase of the chipmaker’s shares. Tan bought 105,263 shares at $95 per share, lifting his total beneficial ownership to roughly 1.33 million shares.

Server CPU Market Jumps to $210.6 Billion

The server CPU market is expected to grow from $61.4 billion in 2026 to $210.6 billion by 2030. AI agents are projected to push CPU demand higher as they take on more complex tasks autonomously.

Intel, alongside Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD) and Arm Holdings (NYSE:ARM), is cited as a beneficiary of the projected market expansion.

JPMorgan Sees Chip Demand Spreading Past AI

A JPMorgan analysis says semiconductor growth is widening beyond memory chips and AI. The global semiconductor market is projected to reach $2.25 trillion by 2027, with microcomponents such as microcontrollers and microprocessors contributing.

JPMorgan says Intel could benefit as demand rises across a wider range of chip categories, with AI infrastructure spending driving a broader cycle beyond traditional AI accelerators.

Technical Analysis

INTC’s recent performance shows a market cap increase of approximately $27.67 billion over the past week.

The stock trades at $102.50, which is 6.31% below its 50-day moving average of $109.40, but 46.14% above its 200-day moving average of $70.14. This indicates a strong upward trend over the longer term.
